On Agency

Symbolic literacy is necessary if the individual is to develop true agency.

Symbols interact directly with the unconscious. They shape patterns in the deep Self, which emerge as force toward tendency.

If you don't understand what symbols, or symbolic patterns, you are interacting with in family, social intercourse, and in society, how is it possible to develop true agency?
